GE 240 “Cigar” Easy Chair designed by Hans Wegner for Getama, 1955.

Hans Wegner designed the GE 240 Easy chair in 1955 and nearly 70 later years the shape and design remains so popular, Getama brought this model back into production. The name ‘Cigar chair’ derives from the attractively curved and tactile shape of the armrests.

This classic Danish armchair design features a tapered solid oak frame and comfortable foam cushions. The chair comes in a range of woods, and finished either in leather or fabric.

Matching Sofa

The 240 design is also available to buy in a 2 or 3 seater sofa with the same finishes as the easy chair and footstool.
Wegner also designed the comfortable GE240S Footstool to compliment the shape of the Easy Chair, available from us in the same finishes as the chair.

Finishes

The GE 240 is available in untreated oak, lacquered oak, oiled oak, soaped oak, stained oak and oiled walnut.

The cushions are available plain, or with contrasting Spectrum leather piping and buttons. Please enquire for full fabric options and pricing.

To cover the chair with fabric supplied by the customer you will require 1.8m
